This was the first rough sketch I made for my idea of the paper cut. The original idea was to take adavntage of the many strong rectilinear forms that exist in the building, and attempt to communicate the hidden complexity behind the seemingly simple form. It was aiming to discuss the role of the structure (funnelling out the exhaust from the ED tunnel) by having the square "frames" towards the right of the image).This idea, however, wasn't how my paper cut came out.
